Junior Netball

Here at the Tigers, we offer playing and development opportunities for girls from ages 10 years right up until the age of 17-18, when they are ready to head off to
the senior ranks. In 2025, our netball department will field U11’s, U13’s, U15’s & U17’s in the RDFNL.

We aim to provide the best possible introduction for our junior netball players, and want a fun, engaging and safe place for our players and their families. We look
forward to welcoming you to our club during the year.

The RDFNL includes clubs from neighbouring towns like Woodend, and teams from slightly further afield, such as Eynesbury and Melton.

Player Development and Enjoyment

Here at the Tigers, we want all our players to reach their full potential as people and netballers. Our youngest players are so important to the overall success of
our club, and we aim to provide an experience that ensures everyone is given the best opportunity to maximise their development and enjoyment of our game. Our coaches are all registered and accredited, and our training program provides various opportunities for skills development throughout the season.
A copy of our Player & Guardian Code of Conduct can be found on our Policies page.

Child Safe Standards and wellbeing

KFNC will always hold fairness, sportsmanship, and the wellbeing of our players above all else. The safety and wellbeing of our players is of utmost importance,
and we have policies and guidelines in place to help ensure this message is well known throughout our community.

KFNC will use the Child Safeguarding Resource Hub – Netball VIC as a guide as well as INT011 –
Child Safeguarding Policy Version 1.1 1 January 2023.pdf (netball.com.au) to ensure all standards are adhered too.

Our Child Safety Officer is Jo Beattie. If you have any questions or concerns regarding child safety at our club, please email Jo at juniorfootball@kynetonfnc.com

Volunteers

At Kyneton Juniors, we encourage involvement by the whole family, not just the player. The ability for your child to play and enjoy netball each week is very dependent on parents/family members volunteering. There are opportunities to volunteer throughout the season: at training, on game day, and behind the scenes. We will be running some welcome sessions during the early weeks of training, so please look out for these, as there will be information about the types of volunteer roles we need to be filled throughout the season. The more people we have helping, the better the experience for all our players and families.

Please register your interest in a volunteer position via the website, or simply have a chat to on of our officials on game day or at training. https://kynetonfnc.com/volunteer/
