Dear Tigers Community,

It has been a week of highs and lows.

First the highs!

We have 2 Senior football teams and 1 netball team playing finals  this Saturday at the QEO.

Reserves 1200

Ares Netball 2pm

Seniors Football 2:20

We have 4 junior teams playing finals on Sunday at Castlemaine.

U15 Girls 1045 AM

U14 Sen 1205PM

U12A 150PM

U16’S 310PM

U14RES 1000 at Kangaroo Flat. (sunday)

Our Reserves have made finals for the first time in 18 years and our Seniors and netballers have the double chance.

Good luck to all of our teams for the weekend and get along to see some games to support the Kyneton Tigers! The Clubrooms and bar will be open from 6-8pm on Saturday after the games.

This week you may have read and seen some media regarding the KFNC financial position.

The KFNC Executive made a decision to go public with out financial situation as a way of being transparent with the Kyneton Tigers Community.

We expect we will have a Senior Department debt of around $200,000 by year end and want  to raise $100,000 so we can pay off some immediate creditors including players and coaches. Going forward we have  a budget outlined for next year that would result in a $40,000 surplus. To achieve this there will be some changes, including cost cuts in some areas, and price increases in others.  We expect to use the surplus to also pay off debt. We are confident we can go into 2019  with a solid plan to return to financial stability. Already we have had some  overwhelmingly generous donations from the Kyneton Race Club $5000, Jellis Craig Real Estate $1500, Midland Express $1000 and an anonymous Life Member has deposited $2000 into the KFNC Club account.
