Hi Everybody,

The Senior Tigers had another good win last weekend against Gisborne and are now sitting fifth on the league ladder. This weekend we play ladder leaders Eaglehawk at home, probably on a wet and soggy oval  hopefully suits our boys!

Our A Res netballers also had a win, that’s 2 in a row! Well done girls.

This Saturday, May 12th is our Fallon/Willmott Round where we remember two important club people who left us too early,Brendan Fallon and John Willmott. The Fallon and Willmott Families will join us in the Clubrooms during the game and after the match some players will be awarded by both families. I’m assured the musically talented Fallon and Willmott families will also put on some entertainment following the match in the Clubrooms, so stick around, have a beer or wine and pizzas will be available also.

It’s less than a month until our 150th Anniversary Dinner at the Town Hall on May 26th. There are limited tickets available at https://www.trybooking.com/VGRZ

150th Anniversary Plaques are also on sale on our website or at the Clubrooms on Saturday.

SPECIAL EDITION 150TH ANNIVERSARY WOOLLEN JUMPERS.

The Kyneton Football Netball Club has produced a limited edition all-Australian woollen football jumper to mark the Club’s milestone 150th Anniversary.

Made with the traditional long sleeves and collar, the black and yellow merino jumpers will be numbered 1-44, with a small selection to be framed featuring the Club’s Premiership sides since 1966.

More information next week on how you can purchase!

Also on sale this Saturday May 12th are beanies, back by popular demand, stubby holders and polos.

Our Juniors have one more week of grading games before the season proper begins, this week we have three junior games on Sat on the bottom oval and before the U18’s.

Our Women’s Football Team is playing on Sunday at Kangaroo Flat at 1pm.

$10 Dinners in the Social Clubrooms every Thursday night, where the teams will be read out and Joker Jackpot is drawn.

Happy Mother’s Day for Sunday to all the footy mums, I’ll be watching more junior football in Strathfieldsaye on Sunday morning!

I look forward to seeing you if you can get to Saturday’s  game.

GO TIGES,

Karen O’Sullivan
